Ho Chi Minh city: Candaransi pagoda presents scholarship to students of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia

On occasion of the Ok Om Bok festival, on November 24, Candaransi pagoda in District 3, Ho Chi Minh city (HCMC) presented scholarships to students of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia who are studying in HCMC.

Attending the event were Most Venerable Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council Thích Thiện Nhơn, Most Venerable Member of the VBS Executive Council cum Abbot of Candaransi pagoda Danh Lung, monks, representatives of local authorities and Khmer students and pupils.

Speaking at the event, Most Venerable Danh Lung informed that the pagoda has organized a fund raising for presenting 49 scholarships to Khmer students from universities and colleges in HCMC on occasion of Ok Om Bok festival.
