Haiphong Caritas presented 125 wheelchairs for the disabled in the provinces of Quang Ninh, Hai Duong and Hai Phong Diocese on Dec 3 on occasion of Vietnam Disability Day.
Reportedly, during five years, with assistance from the United State Wheelchair Association, Wheel Chair Mission Organization Haiphong Caritas gave supports to 600 people with disabilities.
Speaking at the event, representative of United State Wheelchair Association Lê Hùng Đức shared that for bringing love and hope to those less fortunate, his team raised donations amongst Vietnamese Americans for providing wheelchairs to people with disabilities.
