The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Vietnam in collaboration with Minh Dao Pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city opened on February 11 a training conference on preservation of cultural heritage values.

The training saw the presence of Most Venerable Thích Thiện Nhơn, President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Council and a large numbers of Buddhist monks and nuns from Buddhist establishments in Ho Chi Minh city.
The event aimed to raise awareness of Buddhist dignitaries, abbots and abbesses of Buddhist establishment on the conservation and preservation of tangible and intangible heritages of Buddhist culture.
The training contents covered international understanding, cooperation and peace in the spirit of the UNESCO, current conservation of Buddhist cultural heritage and values, challenges and solutions in the coming time.
