For the past years, American Wheelchair Mission (AWM) through Caritas Vietnam has several times presented wheelchairs to Catholic dioceses in Vietnam.
This year, Caritas Ho Chi Minh City Archdiocese has received 70 wheelchairs from the AWM. These wheelchairs will be distributed to vicariates and given the elder and disabled people regardless of their religious backgrounds.
On this occasion, President of the AWM Christopher Joseph Lewis led a delegation to visit Ho Chi Minh city and presented nine wheelchairs to poor people at St. Joseph parish of Go Vap vicariate on August 12.
