The delegation was led by Vice President of the VBS Central Execitive Council cum Chairman of the Committee for Buddhist Clergy Most Venerable Thích Thiện Pháp.

The visit aimed to promote Buddhist exchanges between the two countries, including discussion with Buddhist leaders and state officials in Hungary for supporting Vietnamese monks and nuns to study in the country.

After activities in Hungary, the VBS delegation will visit Poland and Czech Republic for meeting with overseas Vietnamese Buddhists in these countries to learn about their religious practices while working and studying residing in the countries.
