Bangladeshis Ambassador to Vietnam Suprapid Chakma visited the Central Vietnam Buddhist Sangha on November 26 on occasion of concluding his five-year mission in Vietnam.
Receiving the guest were Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Vice President of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council, and Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, VBS Secretary General.
Speaking at the reception, the Bangladeshis Ambassador spoke highly of the successful hosting of UN Day of Vesak Celebrations by VBS earlier this year and said, this event reflected the respect for religious freedom in Vietnam as well as the VBS development strength in recent years. He also informed the hosts about a fine multifaceted relation which is currently developing between Vietnam and Bangladesh.
