A delegation of the Church Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church)’s Representative Committee in Vietnam paid a visit and met with new chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Chiến Thắng on October 9.
Joining the meeting reception included representatives of GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Department and Office.
During the reception, while extending congratulations to the GCRA’s new Chairman, Chairman of the Vietnam LDS Church’s Representative Committee Hoàng Văn Tùng took the chance to share with the hosts the church’s activities in cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh over the past years as well as expressed hope that in the new position, the new GCRA Chairman would further support and create favorable conditions for the Church’s activities.
GCRA’s Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng thanked the Vietnam LDS Church’s delegation for the visit and congratulation. He also called on the Church to continue encouraging followers to well observe the Party and State' policies and laws and disseminate the new Law on Religion and Belief to the Church’s followers.
