GCRA official extends congratulations to 4th general assembly of Vietnam Assemblies of God

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Tiến Trọng on November 6 attended and extended congratulations to the 4th general assembly of the Vietnam Assemblies of God Church in Da Lat city.

The event was held on November 6-8 to review the Church’s activities in the 2022 – 2024 tenure, map out working plans in the next term, undertake spiritual and theological training, approve the new Charter and elect the church’s central executive committee for the next term.

At the general assembly

As reported, with the motto “"Living according to God's teachings, doing God’s work, serving the Fatherland - nation, complying with Vietnamese laws", under the guidance of the Church’s central executive committee, the Church community has consciously obeyed the State laws, accompanied the nation and proactively engaged in patriotic movements, etc. In the past two years, the Assemblies of God Church effectively carried out pastoral affairs, established new chapters and congregations, and launched humanitarian charity activities. In particular, the Church has mobilized more than 1.1 billion VND for assisting people in the North region affected by Yagi typhoon.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng highly appreciated achievements of the Assemblies of God Church in the recent years, as well as roles and responsibilities of the Church’s central executive committee in successfully implementing working plans of the 2022-2024 term.

He expressed his hope that the 4th general assembly of the Vietnam Assemblies of God Church would successfully select members of new executive committee in order to make the church steadily develop, become an active part of the national unity bloc and a prestigious address for the Protestant community at home and aboard.
