Government religious committee official receives delegation from Vietnam Assemblies of God

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Tiến Trọng received on December 10 a delegation from the Vietnam Assemblies of God led by Pastor Ngô Trương Tiến Lĩnh, Vice Chairman of the Church’s Executive Committee.

During the reception, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng congratulated the Vietnam Assemblies of God Church on the success of its 4th general assembly which selected its new central executive committee for the next term.
Over the past years, under the guidance of the Church’s central executive committee, the Church community has closely accompanied the nation and proactively engaged in patriotic movements, he highlighted.
At the reception
The official expressed his hope that the newly elected executive committee would further encourage all followers of the Church to engage in social activities and promote religious resources for the country development.
Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng also extended Christmas and New Year greetings to Pastor Ngô Trương Tiến Lĩnh and all members of the Church on the occasion of upcoming Christmas and New Year 2025.
For his part, Pastor Ngô Trương Tiến Lĩnh thanked the GCRA and local authorities for creating favorable conditions for religious exercise of the Protestant Churches in general and the Vietnam Assemblies of God in particular. He also shared about the Church’s its 4th General Conference successfully held from November 6 to 8 in Lam Dong province and the Season of Love Festival program on December 3-4 in Can Tho city with the participation of Pastor Franklin Graham, President of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, and over 20,000 attendees from Protestant churches nationwide and international friends.
