Vietnam Baptist Church (Southern) representatives visit Government Committee for Religious Affairs

On August 28, 2013, at the headquarter of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Nguyễn Thanh Xuân, Vice - Chairman of the Committee, received a Vietnam Baptist Church (South) delegation led by Pastor Đào Xuân Tiến, who visited the Government Committee for Religious Affairs on the occasion the 68th anniversary of National Day (Sept.2, 1945 - 2013)
At the reception, the delegation exchanged some contents such as registration of meeting places for religious activities, procedures for the establishment of a grassroots church, the organization of theological refresher courses…

Mr. Xuân thanked and wished the delegation good health. He said he has assigned the Committee’s Department of Protestant Affairs to guide the Vietnam Baptist Church (Southern) to implement these contents. On the occasion, Mr. Xuân presented the book “Vietnam’s legal documents on belief and religion” to the delegation so that the Church can refer to in order to perform religious activities in accordance with the law.
On behalf of the Church, Pastor Đào Xuân Tiến thanked the Government Committee for Religious Affairs for creating favorable conditions for the Church. He also expected that the exchanged contents will be further guided for the Church to operate stably.
