Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for religious Affairs receives President of Willow Creek Asociation

In the morning of April, 02, 2014, at the headquarters of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of the The Government Committee for religious Affairs received Mr. Gary Schwammlein, President of WCA and Mr. Robert Kalatschan, President of the Giving it Back to Kids Organization.

Attending the reception were also representatives from Department for International Cooperation, the Committee’s Office, and Department for Protestantism under the Committee.

At the reception, the leaders of WCA and the Giving it Back to Kids Organization shared with leaders of the Committee about their activities and objectives of the operation in Vietnam.

Founded in 1992, Willow Creek Association (WCA) is a large church in Chicago, Illinois (U.S.), having prestige and influence among the Christian communities in the field of leadership training in the U.S., WCA helps pastors and spiritual leaders in the world with leadership skills and world-class resources. WCA now have many activities in about 100 countries. The Global Leadership Summit is held by WCA every year. Up to now, the Summit events have been taken place in more than 300 cities, 92 countries and translated into 42 languages. Mr. Gary Schwammlein expressed the wish to early hold the Global Leadership Summit in Vietnam.

Giving it Back to Kids is a non-profit organization in the United States which was founded by Mr. Robert Kalatschan. It began its operations in the Da Nang city in 2002 with the purpose of helping children, creating favorable conditions for children to realise their fullest potential through provision of medical care, education and nutrition, and love especially.

On behalf of the Committee’s leaders, Mr. Bui Thanh Ha welcomed the visit of leaders of WCA and the Giving it Back to Kids Organizations. Mr. Bui Thanh Ha said that purposes and good deeds of the two organizations have shown the good intention of the Americans for Vietnamese country and people, and he highly appreciated effective operations of the two organizations in Vietnam. The Government Committee for Religious Affairs is willing to share, collaborate with the two organizations in order to promote the operational efficiency of the two organizations in Vietnam, contributing to boost fine relationship between the governments and the people of the two countries.
