The Government Committee for Religious Affairs receives a delegation from Indian Buddhism

On August 14th, 2014, an Indian Buddhist delegation consisting of 12 members led by Venerable Minling Khen chen Gyur Me Gig Namgyal, President of Ngagyur Nyinggma Mindrolling College at Dehradune, Utta Khan Pradesh state had a meeting with the Government Committee (GCRA).
On behalf of the delegation, Most Venerable Minling Khen chen Gyur Me Gig Namgyal thanked the GCRA for its warm welcome and informed the host about the delegation's activities during the delegation visit to Vietnam, including meetings with the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Shangha and Buddhist cultural exchanges at the pagodas (Dien Phuc, Cot and Phuc Long pagodas in Hanoi and Tu Quang pagoda in Ho Chi Minh city). Ven Minling Khen chen Gyur Me Gig Namgyal said that the successful organization of Vesak Day 2014 created great opportunities for Buddhism in countries to exchange and learn about Buddhist culture of each country.
On behalf of the GCRA, Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà welcomed the delegation visit. He also highly valued the relationship between Buddhist organizations of two countries, the participation of Indian Buddhist delegation at the Vesak Day 2014. Mr. Hà expressed his hope that in the integration period, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and other Sanghas including Indian Buddhism will strengthen relationship and Buddhist exchanges including the professional training for monks and nuns at Buddhist colleges.
