The Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Northern) visits Government Committee for Religious Affairs

On February 26, 2014, a delegation from Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Northern) led by Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Mạc had a working visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA). On behalf of the Committee, leaders and officials of Department of  Protestant Affairs led by Mrs. Hoàng Thị Thảo, Director of the Department received the delegation.

On behalf of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (Northern), Pastor Nguyễn Hữu Mạc thanked the Government Committee for Religious Affairs for its warm welcome. On this occasion, he expressed his thanks to the Committee and local authorities for helping the Church in the opening of the Biblical and Theological Institute and training classes, ordainment and transfer of dignitaries, recognition of meeting places…

         He also briefed the Committee Church’s activities, achievements and obstacles in the past year as well as the working plan in the next year. The Pastor expressed his hope that the Government Committee for Religious Affairs will continue to create favorable conditions for and support Church’s activities in the future. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2014, he wished the Committee’s leaders and officials a happy new year.

         On behalf of the Committee’s leaders, Mrs. Hoàng Thị Thảo extend new year wishes to pastors and Protestants  exchanged and provided answers and guidance to the Church in numbers of issues in the coming time, especially Protestant groups in the Northern mountainous areas. She expressed her expectation that the Evangelical church of Vietnam (Northern) will continue to improve the organizational apparatus, especially at local levels; guide followers’ religious activities in accordance with the law, proactively take part in social and charitable activities, making contribution to build and develop Vietnam into a strong and prosperous country.
