The Youth Union of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs held sixth Congress for 2015-2017 tenure on Jan 9.
Attending the Congress were Mr. Phạm Dũng, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA), Mr. Dương Ngọc Tấn, Vice Chairman of the GCRA, Mr. Vũ Thế Khương, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Ministry of Home Affairs; representatives from departments, divisions and all members in the Youth Union under the GCRA.
The draft report of the Youth Union in the term 2012 – 2015 pointed out that over the past year, all members in the Youth Union actively participated in grasping directives and resolutions of the Party and State in general, policies and laws on religion in particular; joint in gratitude activities, “when drinking water, remember its source”, in association with the project “Voluntary Path by Youth such as of the central sectors”…
In the next term, the Youth Union of the GCRA pledged to focus on key tasks such as upholding morals and revolutionary traditions, encouraging the young to promote their creative and active roles in fulfilling professional works, actively participate in celebrations of the 60th anniversary of the GCRA and state sector on religious affairs.
The Congress elected a five-member Executive Committee for the next term 2015 – 2017.

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs cum Chairman of the GCRA Phạm Dũng praised outstanding achievements that the Youth Union of the GCRA has achieved in recent years and expressed his hope that activities of the Youth Union would further be promoted in both the quantity and quality and better equipped with the knowledge to serve their professional duties.
At the Congress, the Youth Union of Home Affairs presented a certificate of merit to the Youth Union of the GCRA and its five individuals for their outstanding achievements in youth activities in the term of 2012 – 2015.
