The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) has recorded good results in the dissemination work on laws amongst state officials and religious personnel in 2016.
The GCRA organized four conferences for disseminating the laws on election of the National Assembly and people’s council, organization of local authorities, complaints, denunciations and inspection for GCRA’s staffers.
The GCRA also collaborated with provincial authorities of Quang Tri, Bac Giang, Gia Lai and Dak Nong in organizing disseminating conferences on state laws on religion for followers of religions, as well as distributed over 900 documented manuals related to religious laws for participants at these dissemination events.
In addition, the GCRA’s dissemination work on state laws, particularly legal provisions on religion, has also been regularly conducted through its websites and religious affairs magazine by news and articles in columns related to state laws and policies.
Given that the Vietnam National Assembly approved Law on Belief and Religion in November 2016, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs is working on plans and programs for disseminating this newly enacted law amongst contingents of state officials and public servants, as well as religious communities throughout the country in 2017. - PTT
