Religious dignitaries extend Tet greetings to Government religious committee

Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng hosted on January 10 a reception for visiting Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên of Hanoi Archdiocese ahead of Lunar New Year (Tet) 2020.  

Speaking during the visit reception, while extending Tet greetings to all GCRA’s  officials and staff, Archbishop Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên took the chance to thank the GCRA for creating favorable conditions for affairs of the Vietnam Catholic Church in general and Hanoi Archdiocese in particular over the past year, especially the Christmas celebration 2019.

Sharing with the guests, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng praised cordial relations between the Catholic Church and state authorities at various administrative levels, and called on Catholic dignitaries and followers to make further contributions for the development in the city. He took the chance to extend a traditional New Year of peace and happiness to Archbishop, priests, clergies and parishioners in the archdiocese.

Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng receives Pastor Jacob Bloemberg

On the same day, Pastor Jacob Bloemberg, Head of the Hanoi International Fellowship paid a pre-Tet visit to the GCRA.

In welcoming the delegation, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng praised practical contributions made by the HIF to the socio-economic development of the city. He also extended Tet greetings to the Pastor and all members of the HIF.
