MOHA’s working group & Mass Mobilization Commission’s Southern office hand over support supplies to poor laborers affected by Covid-19 pandemic

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA)’s working group in collaboration with the Commission for Mass Mobilization’s Southern Office in Ho Chi Minh city and Tuong Nguyen pagoda held on September 10 a ceremony to donate sets of support supplies to disadvantaged households and laborers facing difficulties due to Covid-19 pandemic in Ward 15 of the city’s District 8.

The event saw the presence of representatives from the Commission for Mass Mobilization’s Southern Office, the MOHA’s working group, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in District 8 and Venerable Thích Minh Phú, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s Executive Committee in Ho Chi Minh city cum Head of Tuong Nguyen charity group.

During the ceremony, 350 sets of essential supplies, each containing 10 kg or rice, two liters of cooking oil, one liter of fish sauce, one kg of sugar, one box of instant noodle and other necessities worth 700,000 VND in total, have been handed over to poor and near-poor households and disadvantaged workers affected by the pandemic in Ward 15, the city’s District 8.
