Lang Son Bishop’s Office representatives pay Tet visit to Government Committee for Religious Affairs

On January 16, a delegation from the Lang Son Bishop’s Office led by Bishop Đặng Đức Ngân visited the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2014.

Mr. Bui Thanh Hà, Vice Chairman of the GCRA, and specialists from the Committee’s Department for Catholic Affairs, warmly received the delegation.

On behalf of the priests, clergymen and parishioners in Lang Son diocese, Bishop Đặng Đức Ngân extended New Year greetings to Mr. Bùi Thanh Hà and officials of the GCRA and thanked the Committee for bridging dignitaries and parishioners and the all-level authorities. He expressed his wish that the GCRA will pay more attention to and create more favourable conditions for them in the time to come.

On behalf of the GCRA leaders, Mr. Hà thanked the Bishop and priests for their New Year visit and greetings on the occasion of the traditional Tet holiday. He confirmed that the GVCA will always take into account the aspirations of the religious community, including Catholics. He expected that the dignitaries and priests will continue encouraging parishioners to obey the guidelines and policies of the Party and the law of the State. Through the Bishop, he wished all priests, clergymen and Catholics good health and a happy new year./.
