Home affairs ministry’s working group visits Islamic representative committee in HCMC

The Home Affairs (MOHA)’s working group led by Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Tiến Trọng, paid on September 10 a exchange visit to the representative committee of the Islamic community in Ho Chi Minh. 

At the visiting reception, GCRA Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng highly appreciated efforts and practical contributions made by the Islamic representative committee for assisting Cham ethnic people in general, and Cham ethnic Muslims in particular, who have been facing many difficulties due to Covid-19 pandemic.

He also asked the Islamic representative committee in Ho Chi Minh City to keep on encouraging and guiding local Muslims to strictly observe the Prime Minister’s Directive 16/CT-TTg for preventing dangerous impacts of Covid-19 epidemic, and join local authorities in providing relief supports to people in need in localities in the city. 

Speaking with the guests, Vice Chairman of the Islamic representative committee in Ho Chi Minh City Hj Machdares Samael took the chance to thank the MOHA and GCRA for their due supports extended to the Islamic representative committee during the pandemic outbreak. He also stated that the Islamic representative committee would closely follow updated regulations of the Government, the MOHA and GCRA for encouraging and guiding the Islamic community in city in implementing Covid-19 preventive measures and making practical contributions to help disadvantaged people overcome difficulties caused by the pandemic outbreak.
