Home Affairs leader chairs final meeting on drafting decree guiding religious law implementation

On September 20, at headquarters of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA), Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyễn Trọng Thừa chaired a meeting on the draft decree detailing and providing measures for the implementation of Law on Belief and Religion.
Attending the event included Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Chiến Thắng and Standing Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà and representatives from the ministries, central agencies and the GCRA’s departments who are members of the drafting committee and editing board of the draft decree project.
The meeting heard reports from the drafting committee on comments from religious organizations, relevant ministries, agencies and local authorities and recommendations for completing the draft decree before sending it to the Ministry of Justice for appraisal.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister Nguyễn Trọng Thừa assigned the drafting committee to urgently complete the draft decree for appraisal by the Ministry of Justice before submitting it to the Government for consideration in October this year.
