Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng and GCRA Chairman Vũ Hoài Bắc extend congratulations to new executive committee of the Council of Major Superiors of Religious for 2022-2025 tenure

The home affairs official accompanied by Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Hoài Bắc and representatives from Ninh Binh authorities were welcomed by Priest Joseph Nguyễn Văn Quang, President of the Vietnam Council of Major Superiors of Religious for the 2018-2021 tenure and Priest Toma Nguyễn Trường Tam, President of the Council for the 2022-2025 term, and about 150 priests, clergies of Catholic congregations and orders.

Speaking the event, while extending congratulations on the success of the congress and elected members of the executive committee of the religious council for 2022-2025 tenure, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng highly appreciated contributions in the fields of charity, health and education of the Catholic congregations and orders over the past years, especially the Covid-19 prevention work.

He called on the Council to promote its fine traditions as well as make pratical contributions for sustainable development in localities.

On the occasion of the congress, Deputy Minister Vũ Chiến Thắng has approved the establishment of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God and the Order Oblates of Mary Immaculate.

On behalf of the congress, Priest Joseph Nguyễn Văn Quang briefed results of the 7^th congress of the Council and introduced the executive committee of the religious council for 2022-2025 tenure headed by Priest Toma Nguyễn Trường Tam.
