Government Religious Committee pays Tet visits to religious dignitaries in Northern provinces

A Government Committee for Religious Affairs’ (GCRA) delegation led by Chief of the Office Dương Văn Khá visited Buddhists dignitaries in the provinces of Hai Duong and Hung Yen on January 23-24 on occasion of the Traditional New Year.
Joining the delegation were representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and the GCRA’s officials from Buddhist Affairs and Protestant Affairs Departments.
During the visits, Chief Dương Văn Khá wished Buddhist dignitaries a peaceful and prosperous New Year 2016 and expressed hope that Buddhist dignitaries would continue to encourage monks, nuns and Buddhists to always fulfill civic duties and devote themselves for “better secular and religious life”, contributing to the development of Buddhism and society in Vietnam.
Buddhist dignitaries took the chance to thank the GCRA and conveyed their best wishes to GCRA’s leaders, Mr. Dương Văn Khá and members of the GCRA delegation on occasion of the Traditional Tet Festival.
GCRA delegation visits Venerable Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Thanh Vân at Dong Cao pagoda in Hai Duong city.
Delegation presents gifts to Venerable Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Thanh Hiện at Pho pagoda in Hung Yen city.
