Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Tiến Trọng hosted a reception for the visiting delegation of Vietnam Mennonite Church led by Pastor Huỳnh Đình Nghĩa, President of the church.

Joining the event included Head of the GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Division Thiều Thị Hương.
At the visiting reception, Pastor Huỳnh Đình Nghĩa briefed the host social and religious affairs the Vietnam Mennonite Church over the past years, including the 4th national congress successfully convened in November last year, which selected the Church’s Executive Committee for the 2022-2026 tenure.
The pastor also informed that, under the church’s working motto launched for living the Gospel and serving the nation, the Mennonite community in Vietnam has proactively engaged in charities and social programs in the country.
The pastor president also took the chance to thank the government religious committee for due support and guidance extended to social and religious affairs of the Mennonite church over the past years.
Speaking with the guests, Vice Chairman Nguyễn Tiến Trọng congratulated the Vietnam Mennonite Church on the outcomes of its 4th national congress, and highlighted practical contributions of the church in enhancing social unity and boosting socio-economic development in the country.
The official also expressed hope the church’s executive committee would continue upholding fine traditions and practically contributing for rural civilized and sustainable development in localities throughout the country.
