In Korea, the GCRA delegation visited and met with the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Korea, attended Vu Lan Festival and a cultural exchange between Vietnam and Korea in Heungryunsa Pagoda of Incheon city, visited Pyeonggang Protestant Church in Incheon city and Seomoon Protestant Church and Joyge Buddhist sect in Seoul, and the Vietnamese Embassy in Korea.

In Japan, the GCRA delegation had a meeting with the Religious Affairs Department under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, visited the World Buddhist Supreme Conference in Tokyo, the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Dai An Pagoda of Saitama province and the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.

During the visits, GCRA Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga thanked religious organizations and dignitaries in Korea and Japan for helping and supporting Vietnamese people residing, studying and working in  two countries.

She also informed the hosts of the current policy and law of Vietnam which consistently respect and safeguard people’s right to freedom of belief and religion, and create favorable conditions for religious practices of foreigners legally residing in Vietnam.

The official expressed hope that religious organizations and dignitaries in Korea and Japan would continue creating favorable conditions for Vietnamese citizens to practice the religion in accordance with the law of each country. She urged Vietnamese dignitaries in Korea and Japan to continue supporting Vietnamese communities residing, studying and working in the two countries, contributing to the development of Vietnam.

At the meeting with the Religious Affairs Department under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan, the GCRA delegation had exchanges on similarities in the religious life of the two countries, particularly Buddhist practices between Vietnam and Japan.
