Government Religious Committee leader receives Mormon Church’s representatives

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn met Dr. Gerrit W.Gong, Leader of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter -day Saints in Asia region on Feb. 2.

         Joining the reception meeting were Mr. David Moon, the Church’s missionary currently working in Cambodia and Mr. Hoàng Văn Tùng, President of the Interim Representatives Committee of the Vietnam Mormon Church.

       At the reception, Dr. Geritt Gong expressed his sincere thanks to the GCRA for favorable conditions for religious activities of the LDS Church over the past years, including the official recognition of the Vietnam LDS Church and said the recognition of the Interim Representatives Committee of the Vietnam Mormon Church is an important milestone for its organization in Vietnam and its relation with Mormons overseas.

         On behalf of the GCRA, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn thanked Dr. Elder Gerrit W.Gong and members of the delegation for their New Year visit and greetings on the occasion of Vietnam traditional Tet festival.
