A delegation from the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) led by Director John Charles Boyd paid a visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) on April 1st.
The delegation was welcomed by Vice Chairman of the GCRA Bùi Thanh Hà.
During the reception, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà and Director John Charles Boyd had exchanges on the faith life and state policies on belief and religion in Vietnam, as well as cooperation activities between the GCRA and the IGE in the coming time.

Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà shared with guests the process of drafting the Law on Belief and Religion and thanked IGE for its contributions in the religious law implementation in Vietnam.
He also said the cooperation between IGE and its partners, including the GCRA has promoted the mutual understanding and fostered the people-to-people relation between Vietnam and the U.S.
Speaking with the host, Director John Charles Boyd stated that IGE would continue to serve as a bridge promoting mutual understanding including the religious life in Vietnam between Vietnam and the U.S.

The IGE delegation visit was part of a working trip to Vietnam from March 26 to April 03 for learning about the faith life in Vietnam, as well as attending a course on religion and the rule of law from March 27-30 in Binh Dinh province’s Quy Nhon city organized by the Institute for Belief and Religions under Hồ Chí Minh National Political Academy, the IGE and Brigham Young University (BYU).
