Government religious committee leader receives delegation of Caodai churches and organizations

Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Hoài Bắc hosted on December 28 a reception for the visiting delegation of Caodai churches and organizations led by Cardinal Chairman of the Minh Chon (Dazzling Bright) Caodai Church Trần Đức Tăng, on the occasion of Traditional Lunar New Year of Rabbit 2023.

Joining the reception included Chief of the GCRA’s office Nguyễn Văn Long, Director of the GCRA’s Caodai Affairs Department Nguyễn Phúc Nguyên, and Director of the GCRA’s Catholic Affairs Department Đinh Quang Tiến.

During the reception, while extending traditional New Year greetings to officials and staff of the GCRA, Cardinal Trần Đức Tăng took the chance to thank to the GCRA and its Caodai affairs department for their attention and supports extended to religious affairs of Caodai churches over the past years.

Speaking with the host, Archbishop Vice Chairman of the Tien Thien (Ante-Creation) Caodai Church stated that religious affairs and social charities in localities of Caodai churches and organizations have been organized in accordance with state laws and Caodai churches’ charter.

The archbishop also thanked the Home Affairs Ministry for approving the establishment of a Caodai institute, and affirmed that Caodai churches and organizations would strive for further achievements ahead of the 100th founding anniversary of Caodaism in 2023.

Speaking with the guests, Chairman Vũ Hoài Bắc spoke highly of practical contributions made by Caodai churches and organizations in social charity and dissemination of state laws and policies. The GCRA leader expressed hope that the Caodai churches would pay further attention to the training for churches’ successors and encourage members to actively engage in patriotic movements launched in the locality, and the Caodai institute would early complete the training program and open the first course in the coming time.

The GCRA leader also took the chance to extend New Year greetings to leaders and members of Caodai churches and organizations.
