Government Religious Committee leader extends Christmas greetings to Protestants in Thai Nguyen

Chairman of the Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Vũ Hoài Bắc paid on December 8 a visit to Mo Chi Protestant church in Thai Nguyen province’s Vo Nhai district, ahead of Christmas 2023.

The Chairman accompanied by Deputy Head of the GCRA’s Protestant Affairs Division Nguyễn Ngọc Bảo, Deputy Director of the provincial Home Affairs Department Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Hoàng Ngọc Hưng, and Chairwoman of the People’s Committee in Vo Nhai district Bùi Thị Sen was welcomed by Commissioned Pastor Hoàng Văn Thái, Head of the provincial Protestant Representative Committee in Thai Nguyen province under the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (North) and Commissioned Pastor Lý Văn Thanh, Superintendent of Mo Chi church.

During the visit, while extending Christmas greetings to the provincial Protestant Representative Committee, Mo Chi church and all Protestant followers, Chairman Vũ Hoài Bắc stated that the Vietnamese State always pursues the consistent policy of respecting and ensuring the right to freedom of belief and religion, creating favorable conditions for religious organizations in general and Protestant churches in particular, and promoting fine traditions and resources of religions for the sustainable development of the country.

He expressed hope that Commissioned Pastor Hoàng Văn Thái and Commissioned Pastor Lý Văn Thanh would continue guiding followers to proactively engage in patriotic movements launched by local authorities for boosting socio-economic development in the locality.

On the occasion, Chairman Vũ Hoài Bắc paid a charity visit to Mrs. Hoàng Thị Nên’s family a disadvantaged household of Tay ethic minorities in Truong Son village of Vo Nhai district.
