Government Religious Committee holds training for reporters tasked with religious affairs nation-wide

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) opened on October 2 a national training course for reporters tasked with religious affairs from 63 provinces and cities.

The event saw the presence of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng, Vice Chairwoman of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga and 180 reporters tasked with religious affairs in localities.

The training course was a part of the implementation plan of Decision No. 43 of the Prime Minister dated on January 11, 2022 on professional training for officials tasked with belief and religious affairs in the 2022-2026 period.

During the training’s opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vũ Chiến Thắng informed religious life and practical issues relating to the State administration on religious affairs.

He also emphasized the importance of professional training for officers tasked with religious affairs, especially at the grassroots level, in order to meet requirements relating the state management on belief and religion.

The Deputy Minister asked the training presenters to provide in-depth knowledge, focusing on practical issues on belief and religion, professional skills on the State administration, exchanges of experiences in handling issues related to belief and religious affairs in localities.

The training course, running until October 4 consist of 10 topics presented by experts, managers, and reporters from the GCRA, the National Academy of Public Administration (the Ministry of Home Affairs) and the Internal Security Department under the Ministry of Public Security.
