Government religious committee holds state governance on religion training for its personnel

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on May 21-22 a training on the state administration on religion for its personnel.
The event saw the participation of Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Chiến Thắng and large numbers of the GCRA’s officials and staff.
After opening speech at the event, Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng delivered the presentations on the religious life, the Party’s guidelines and policies on belief and religion, as well as practical issues relating to belief and religion.

The Chairman also exchanged on key tasks in the current state administration on religion including the implementation of the Law on Belief and Religion and its guiding Decree.
According to Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng, currently, 95% of the population of Vietnam certain forms of belief and religion, including over 24 million religious followers (about 27% of the population).
He highlighted and explained key contents of the Party resolution No.18 on continued implementation of the Resolution No. 25 on religious affairs. The Resolution No. 18 considers belief and religion as legitimate spiritual needs of people, and calls for the strengthening of the great national unity and promotion of religious resources for the socio-economic development in the country.
