Government religious committee holds religious law training for house-church Protestant organizations

The Government Committee for Religious Affairs in collaboration with the provincial government of Ba Ria - Vung Tau held on July 16-17 a workshop on the implementation of the new religious law for key members of house-church Protestant denominations in Vietnam South.

Attending the training workshop taking place in Vung Tau city included 120 representative leaders of 37 Protestant organizations in Southern Vietnam that have not been organizationally recognized by the state.

The training event covered key contents of state policies and laws on religion in general, and Protestantism in particular, with focus on the Law of Belief and Religion 2016, as well as discussion of practical issues and explanation of remaining difficulties relating practices of Protestantism and the state administration on the religion in the locality.
