The Drafting Committee of the project of Law on Belief and Religion held a conference on Jan 28.
The conference aimed to consult officials working on religious affairs, scientists, representatives of the ministries on the first draft of Law on belief and religion.
The conference was co-chaired by Vice Chairman of the GCRA cum Deputy Head of the Drafting Committee Bùi Thanh Hà and former Vice Chairman of the GCRA Nguyễn Thanh Xuân.
The draft Law on Belief and Religion consists of 11 chapters, 75 articles, including 20 new articles.
At the conference, delegates focused on discussion of key issues, including name of the Law, scope of regulations and definition of concepts in the draft law; belief-related and religious activities; competence and management of belief-related and religious practices; management of religious establishments, religious trainings; religious activities of foreigners in Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà highly appreciated the comments made by delegates and expressed his hope that officials working on religious affairs, scientists and representatives of the ministries would continue to give their feedbacks in the draft law process.
