Government Religious Committee hands over education of religious knowledge to National Academy of Public Administration

A meeting for formally handing over the education of religious knowledge between the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) and the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) was held on October 30.

The meeting was co-chaired by GCRA Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng and NAPA Director Đặng Xuân Hoan, and attended by GCRA Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà, representatives from the Department of Organization and Personnel under the Ministry of Home Affairs and concerning departments of the GCRA and NAPA.

According to GCRA Chairman Vũ Chiến Thắng, the meeting is part of the coordination between the GCRA and the NAPA in the implementation of the Prime Minister's Decision No. 32/2018/QĐ-TTg regulating functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the GCRA and Decision No. 05/2018/QĐ-TTg regulating functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the NAPA

As per the minute of understanding signed at the meeting, the function of fostering knowledge on religion for state cadres and civil servants tasked with religious affairs is formally handed over from the GCRA to NAPA, and the function of professional training on belief and religious affairs for the state contingent workforce in charge of belief and religious affairs will be continued by the GCRA.

The contents of the handover also included the project approved by the Prime Minister on training cadres and civil servants tasked with religious affairs for 2017-2020 period.
