While in Cambodia, the GCRA delegation had a working session with Cambodia Ministry of Cult and Religious Affairs. At the event, the two sides agreed to boost cooperation in implementing signed cooperation agreements in the field of religion and belief. Cambodia Minister of  Cult and Religious Affairs Min Khin thanked Vietnamese people for helping Cambodian people in the process gaining national independence of Cambodia. He also spoke highly of the cooperation between the GCRA and Cambodia’s Ministry of Cult and Religious Affairs on issues relating to religious affairs, creating favorable conditions for religious people in the two countries to exchange experiences in promoting fine values of religions, contributing to the stability of each country and the region.

GCRA Chairman Phạm Dũng meets the Supreme Patriarch of Cambodia BourKry

During the visit, the GCRA delegation paid courtesy visits to the Great Supreme Patriarch of Cambodia Tep Vong and the Supreme Patriarch of the Thammayut order of Cambodia Bour Kry. At the visiting receptions, two religious leaders thanked the GCRA for its supports over the past years and expressed hope for promotion of solidarity based on Buddhist values, contributing to create peace and happiness for people of the two countries.

The GCRA delegation also met with Deputy Prime Minister cum Minister of Internal Affairs Samdech Krolahom Sor Kheng. At the meeting reception, Mr. Sor Kheng shared about religious situation, border issues and other matters of mutual concern. He also highly valued cooperation of the two sides in state administration on religious affairs, contributing to strengthen friendship and solidarity between the two Governments and people.

During the visit, the GCRA delegation met with leaders of two provinces of Siem Reap and Svay Rieng. In Svay Rieng province, bordering Vietnam provinces of Tay Ninh and Long An, Svay Rieng provincial leadership expressed hope for cooperation in the State management on religion affairs with Vietnam bordering provinces.
