Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà extended on August 26 visits to several Buddhist dignitaries of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Hanoi on occasion of Vu Lan Festival.
Joining the visits included Director of Buddhist Affairs Department under the government religious committee Bùi Hữu Dược.

Speaking during the visits, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà spoke highly of activities celebrating this year’s Vu Lan festival, known as Buddhist Parents Day, by most of worshipping establishments under the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha across the country. These Vu Lan Festival celebrations practically contributed to uphold fine moral and cultural values of Vietnamese people, he said.
While extending best greetings to Buddhist dignitaries and followers in the country, the GCRA official asked Buddhist leaders to promote fine traditions of Vietnamese Buddhism, making practical contributions to socio-economic development in the country.
