Government Religious Committee attends conference for introducing two books by General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng

The Party Committee of the Central Agencies held on February 28 a conference for introducing two books by General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng titled “Promoting the tradition of national unity, making the nation increasingly rich, strong, civilized, and happy”, and “Building and developing a comprehensive, modern Vietnamese foreign policy and diplomacy, imbued with the identity of Vietnamese bamboo”.

The conference held online with 416 connecting points drew the participation of over 18,300 party members of the central agencies. Joining the event at the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) included Chairman of the GCRA Vũ Hoài Bắc, Vice Chairpersons of the GCRA Trần Thị Minh Nga and Nguyễn Ánh Chức.

During the conference, Dr. Phạm Lan Dung, Acting Director of the Diplomatic Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed key contents of the book “Building and developing a comprehensive, modern Vietnamese foreign policy and diplomacy, imbued with the identity of Vietnamese bamboo”.

Accordingly, the book has more than 800 pages with over 150 articles, 150 illustrations, and selected articles, speeches, interviews, letters, and telegram, etc. of General Secretary Nguyễn Phú Trọng, expressing the consistent and thorough ideology of the Party leader on Vietnam's foreign policy and diplomacy in the new situation.

Later, Chairman of the Vietnam Central Fatherland Front Committee Đỗ Văn Chiến introduced key contents of the book “Promoting the tradition of national unity, making the nation increasingly rich, strong, civilized, and happy”.

The book has been launched on November 18, 2023, on the occasion of the 93rd founding anniversary of the Vietnam United National Front (the Vietnam National Fatherland Front predecessor), and divided into three parts: (1) Great national unity - Internal strength: the decisive factor in the cause of national building and defense, (2) Promoting the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s role and sociopolitical groups in carrying out the nation’s socioeconomic development goals, and (3) Encouraging individuals from all backgrounds and places to play a bigger part in the nation’s reconstruction.
