Government Committee for Religious conducts inspection of religious affairs in Kon Tum province

A Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) delegation conducted inspection of the implementation of the law on belief and religion in Kon Tum province on November 12-15.

During the inspection the GCRA delegation had working meetings with the provincial People’s Committee, specialized agencies, Kon Tum city People’s Committee and the Kon Plong district People’s Committee. The delegation also visited some religious facilities in order to check the observance of laws and regulations relating to belief and religion.

Kon Tum province has a large area of land with four major operative religions, namely Catholicism, Buddhism, Caodaism and Protestantism. Religious followers, numbered about 200,000 in the province, account for 41% of the province's population.
