Government Committee for Religious Affairs representative congratulates annual conference of Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam

On October 27th, 2014, Mr. Đặng Trung Thành, Deputy Head of Department of Catholic Affairs under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and representatives from the Khanh Hoa province Committee for Religious Affairs visited and congratulated the 2nd annual conference of Catholic Bishops' Conference of Vietnam (CBCV) at Nha Trang diocese (No. 22 Tran Phu street, Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province). Welcoming the delegation was bishop Võ Đức Minh of Nha Trang diocese.
Speaking at the reception, Mr. Đặng Trung Thành highly appreciated activities for “better secular and religious life” by Vietnam Catholic Church in general and Catholicism in Khanh Hoa province in particular, in lines with the spirit of Pastoral Letter 1980 of the CBCV, as well as words of Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. He expressed his hope that the CBCV and bishops of Nha Trang diocese will continue to guide Catholic followers to actively join in the cause of building and defending the nation.
