The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) held on January 16 the final meeting on a project of research and survey on new religious phenomenon in Vietnam.
The project headed by Dr. Lê Thị Liên, Director of Institute for Religious Policy Studies.
The assessment meeting of the GCRA’s project was chaired by Dr. Bùi Thanh Hà, Deputy Director of the Department of Homeland Security under the Ministry of Public Security.
The project aimed to survey and study new religious phenomenon in Vietnam currently, comprehensively evaluate the state administration on the phenomena, as well as make recommendations for guidelines and policies on the issues phenomenon.
During the meeting, members of the assessment council noted that the project has achieved the set goals and tasks, and contributed theoretical and practical values. They also asked the project management board to add more contents for better understanding new religious phenomena to society and existing religious phenomena, suggesting more specific and focused solutions in the state administration of new religious phenomena.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Bùi Thanh Hà highly appreciated the efforts of the management board during the implementation of the project. He also asked the project’s management board to early complete the project based on feedbacks of the appraisal council.
As for the final appraisal, the assessment council gave the project a good ranking.
