On September 15, Vice Chairman the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn warmly hosted a reception for the visiting delegation from the Institute for Global Engagement (IGE) led by President James Chen.
Attending the reception were also representatives from the Professional School and the Departments of International Relation and Legislation and Inspection under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs.
At the reception, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn highlighted results of cooperation between the IGE and the GCRA during the past 10 years, which contributed to strengthen mutual understanding between Vietnam and United States.
Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn exchanged with the guest on the making process of the draft law on belief and religious training for state officials working in the state sector on religious affairs at all levels as well as dignitaries and followers of all religious organizations across the country.
According to the Vice Chairman, the current 9th version of the draft law on belief and religion draft is expected to be considered for approval at the parliamentary session in October 2016.
