GCRA surveys venue for UN Day of Vesak 2025

An interdisciplinary working group led by Vice Chairwoman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Trần Thị Minh Nga on March 13 visited and had exchange with the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) on the suggested venue for the UN Day of Vesak 2025 proposed to be hosted by the VBS held in Ho Chi Minh City.

Speaking at the event, while highly appreciated initiatives of the VBS in preparation for the UN Day of Vesak 2025, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga asked the VBS and the Vietnam Buddhist Institute in Ho Chi Minh City to provide a detailed plan on conference hall, locations for main events of the UN Day of Vesak, accommodation for delegates and other issues during the Un Vesak 2025.

On behalf of the VBS, Senior Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Vice President cum General Secretary of the VBS’s Executive Council and Chairman of the VBS’s International Buddhist Affairs Committee took the chance to thank the Party and State leaders, the GCRA and concerning ministries and central agencies for due attention, guidance and support extended to the preparation work of the UN Day of Vesak 2025 to be hosted by the VBS.
