GCRA representative receives Congregation of Dominican Sisters of Thai Binh Diocese

A delegation of the Congregation of Dominican Sisters in Thai Binh province led by Superior Sister Maria Ngô Thị Hạnh extended a New Year visit to the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) on January 4.

Welcoming the delegation included Acting Director of the GCRA’ Department of Catholic Affairs Lê Minh Khánh.

At the reception, Sister Ngô Thị Hạnh extended Traditional New Year wishes to leaders and officials of the GCRA and took the chance to thank the GCRA for its support extended to the congregation over the past years.

The Superior Sister and Acting Director Lê Minh Khánh also exchanged on administrative procedures for the congregation’s general conference which expected to be held in March 2017, and the registration procedures according to the Law on belief and religion.

The Dominican Sisters of Thai Binh province was officially established in 2005. After 12-year development, the congregation currently has many sub-congregations in provinces of Thai Binh and Hung Yen with 58 perpetual votarists, 57 temporary votarists and 22 interns.
