Director of International Relation Department of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) hosted a reception for Political Officer of the U.S. Embassy to Vietnam Jessica Farmer on September 29.
Joining the reception meeting also included representatives of GCRA’s departments for Protestant Affairs and Legislation & Inspection.
In preparation for possible dialogues on religion when President Trump visits Vietnam in the coming time, the two sides exchanged on Vietnam legal provisions provided for registration of religious practicing places and the current operation of religious organizations in Vietnam.
During the reception, Director Nguyễn Đức Vinh stated that the GCRA always remains open to dialogues on religion for promoting mutual understanding and boosting the comprehensive relationship between Vietnam and the USA.
