Director of International Relation Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Nguyễn Đức Vinh hosted on March 16a reception for a visiting delegation from Korean Deajin International Volunteers Associations (DIVA) led by President Kim Wan Yong.
Joining the delegation were Director of the GCRA’s Other Religions Department Nguyễn Ánh Chức and representatives from the Committee Office.
During the welcoming reception, Director Nguyễn Đức Vinh shared with the guests on functions and tasks of the GCRA, the current religious life in Vietnam, as well as state policies on belief and religion. Vietnam is multi-religion country with 41 recognized religious organizations belonging to 15 religions, he added. He also stressed that the Vietnamese Party and State always respect and guarantee the right to freedom of belief and religion for every people, and create favorable conditions for religious organizations to operate in accordance with the law.
Speaking to the hosts, President Kim Wan Yong informed about the DIVA in Korea and its volunteer projects in Vietnam.
Deajin International Volunteers Associations is a faith-based non-governmental organization in Korea which has an education system from kindergarten to university levels, and a modern hospital system.
