On March 31, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn handed over the registration certificate to the Lovers of the Holy Cross of Phat Diem at its headquarters in Kim Son district of Ninh Binh province.
Acting Director of the GCRA’s Catholic Department Lê Minh Khánh, representatives from the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng of Phat Diem diocese also joint the event.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn congratulated the congregation on its registration certificate for religious activities approved by the state law. The registration certificate of the congregation also marked its development, which operating not only in the Ninh Binh province, but also in Ho Chi Minh City, he said.
On behalf of the congregation, Bishop Joseph Nguyễn Năng took the chance to thank the GCRA and the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs for the support extended to the congregation’s activities. Thanks to this support, the congregation has better carried out preschool education and charity programs for the past years, said the bishop.
Sister Mai Thị Ngát, General of the congregation also expressed her thanks to local authorities and the dioceses’ bishops for attention and support given to the congregation in pastoral and social activities.
