On occasion of Christmas 2016, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) has extended delegation visits to Catholic diocese of Hai Phong, Thai Binh and Hue archdiocese.
During the visit to Hai Phong diocese Cathedral on December 21, Deputy Director of GCRA’s Department of Catholic Affairs Nguyễn Dương Long presented Bishop of the diocese Joseph Vũ Văn Thiên with a beautiful Christmas banquet and greeting sent by State President Trần Đại Quang.
In the Christmas visit to Thai Binh diocese, Vice Chairman of the GCRA Dương Ngọc Tấn had meetings with Bishop of the diocese Pierre Nguyễn Văn Đệ and Super General of Damien Congregation in the diocese Maria Ngô Thị Hạnh. He extended a merry Christmas celebrations to all dignitaries and followers of Catholicism in the diocese.
In his visit to Hue archdiocese office on December 22, Deputy Director of GCRA’s Department of Catholic Affairs Nguyễn Dương Long was welcomed by Archbishop Francis Xavier Lê Văn Hồng. During the welcoming reception, the deputy director extended a merry Christmas 2016 and happy New Year 2017 to the archbishop and all Catholic followers in the archdiocese.
