Speaking at the event, Vice Chairwoman Trần Thị Minh Nga spoke highly of social and charitable contributions of religions, including Buddhism in the locality.
During the Covid-19 epidemics, religious organizations in the province have actively implemented the Directive of the Prime Minister and the guidance of the health sector, contributing to the country’s accomplishment in preventing the Covid-19 pandemic, she added.
The GCRA official also extended congratulations to the VBS’s Executive Committee, Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in Quang Ngai on occasion of the VBS’s 39th founding anniversary.
Quang Ngai province currently has five operative religions of Buddhism, Protestantism, Catholicism, Caodaism and Baha’i Faith.
