Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà hosted a reception on November 3 for Deputy Ambassador of U.S. Embassy in Hanoi Susan M. Sutton.
Joining the reception included representatives of the GCRA’s Office, Department of International Relation and Department of Legislation and Inspection.
During the reception, the two sides exchanged on results of the GCRA’s delegation visit to the United States recently and the draft Law on belief and religion.
Regarding to the draft Law on belief and religion, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà shared with the guest its objective as well as drafting process and fundamental principles, and informed that the draft law was officially discussed by the National Assembly on October 24, 2016. After its approval by the National Assembly, the GCRA will organize activities for wide dissemination of this law to the public, including cadres working in the State administration on religious affairs and religious followers, he added.
