Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà hosted a reception for visiting Minister of Justice and Buddha Sasana of Sri Lanka Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe on March 17.
At the reception, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà and Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe exchanged on the current religious life in each country and the United Nations Day of Vesak to be held from 12th to 14th May 2017 in Sri Lanka.
Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà took the chance to share about contents of the Law on Belief and Religion recently adopted by the Vietnam’s National Assembly that will take effect in January 2018.
The GCRA leader also expected that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha would send a delegation to attend the UN Vesak Day in Sri Lanka and cooperation between Buddhist churches in Vietnam and Sri Lanka would be strengthened.
