On Oct. 7, Chief Executive Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Bùi Thanh Hà host a reception for the delegation of the European Union (EU) to Vietnam led by First Counselor cum Head of the EU’s Politics, Press and Information Section Delphine Marland.
Welcoming the delegation also included representatives of the GCRA’s Office, Department of International Relation and Department of Legislation and Inspection.
During the reception, Vice Chairman Bùi Thanh Hà spoke highly of good results of cooperation over the past years between the EU and Vietnam in general, and the GCRA in particular.
The two sides also exchanged on the process of the draft Law on belief and religion in Vietnam. Mr. Hà said the 9th version of the draft is expected to be considered for approval by the parliamentary session later this month.
It’s reported that, the current draft has also been sent to public across the country for further comments.
